My work is about abstracting text into an object/image. I start with text because words have always mystified me. I read some words backwards, I drop prefixes and suffixes to words when I am reading, plus I read a few letters backwards. So, in order for me to read anything, I must approach a text by use of repetition. After I have read a text a few times, the meaning changes from the first reading because I am able to clear up the visual impairments through the act of repetition. The same thing happens with my work. When I start out with a text, those words have a current meaning, but after my processes of repetition, the text because an object/image with a new and truer meaning.

I enjoyed your gallery...the way you paint/draw is not something I would have the patience or ingenuity to think of and I really like how everything becomes abstracted into these really gorgeous patterns.

I'll be truthful and say that I don't know what I should be feeling when I look at it, but I really think it's a neat way of doing portraits, etc.

You might like to have a look at :iconanalog77: who has an amazing style, and a vast body of work as well. analog77 hasn't been on in a while due to a heavy work load, but his gallery is well worth a visit.
